Prof Rubinsztein-Dunlop received her PhD from Göteborg University, Sweden and was awarded Docent Degree from the same University. She is a professor of physics at the University of Queensland and leads two research groups: in quantum atom optics and laser micromanipulation. Halina is Head of the School of Mathematics and Physics and a Director of newly established Quantum Science Laboratory. Halina's research interests are in atom optics, laser micromanipulation, laser physics, linear and nonlinear high resolution spectroscopy, and nano-optics. She has published over 200 papers in international peer reviewed journals, ten book chapters and a large number of international conference papers and many invited presentations.
Halina Rubinsztein-Dunlop is a Fellow of OSA and SPIE. She is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of NTT Basic Research Laboratories, Japan, a member of the Editorial Boards of IOP Journal of Optics, Journal of Biophotonics, and a Member of the Advisory Board of Laser Beckmann Institute.
